Affiliate Programs, Do They Live Up To The Promise?

By Richard Gasp

So you an Affiliate Marketer? Do you make a profit? Do you sell your own product or other peoples?

When someone tells me they are an affiliate marketer, I like to ask the above question to find out how they are making money because I know most of the programs out there are worthless. Many sell other peoples programs and not original material.

Or is it?

I have invested in hundreds of opportunities and found out that 99% of them are worthless. Usually they are something I already know, seen or heard. Most people sell things that are the same as the next guys, but word it differently. What they are selling is nothing new but is presented to you in another direction.

Some examples,

Google Cash Profit

How To Produces Videos That Sell

Ebay Marketing Rewards

I made $1,000,000.00 From Home

While Sleeping I made $10,000

Sound familiar? It should because those are the most popular headlines on the internet today. Most of the programs sell you promises that play on your emotions, and once you join you are given information that is just enough to make you think you got a bargain and not want a refund, but not enough information to really give you the answers to help you succeed and make a profit. I have found this to be the main fault with 99% of most internet affiliate programs today.

We buy into these programs because the lead page paints a picture that you are going to make lots of money and put you into a state of mind it will resolve your financial situation. Most lead pages paint the picture of I was broke, I lost my job, I was down to 10.00 before hitting the big one. Usually the last sentence says something like, Then I stumble upon the magic secret.

And it was so easy You can do it.

Emotions can make you buy things you really think can help you. Most internet marketer use this type of marketing because it works. You need to ask yourself, are you buying this program because of the product or because of the emotional feeling presented to you as you read the lead page.

After failing at lots of opportunities I set out on a quest to find 3 Real Programs, with Real Products. These 3 programs must hold up to their promise of teaching me something that really does work.

Most of the programs I tried started out by getting me to believe my financial situation could be resolve and I would no long have bills piling up, or not going to lose my car, or have to find a job. The programs I needed to find had to meet certain qualifications. First they needed to sell me on the product, and second, they needed to not have anything to do with emotional selling.

Now if on the other hand the program avoids all the hype and starts out explaining powerful features of the program they are selling, the benefits of the program, and what it can do for you, chances are you are really going to learn something that could be profitable to you. You have to really do you homework to find programs that really work. The best part is that once you do find a good program, you can actually use it to make money.

I really hate admitting this but I spent about $5000 to find a few programs worth looking at. The best part of my $5000 loss is that I really did find 3 legitimate programs. To my surprise, they really did have a real product that makes money. They had a system that really worked. A system I could finally rely on.
