The old school ways spent me out of my business

By John Wallen

Your thinking to yourself one fine day, how you'd like to be in a home business. Stay home and be your own boss. So you put together a little office area with a computer, printer, phone, fax, all the essential home office needs.

With everything in place let the search begin. You purchase some opportunity magazines. Someone recommends some ezines. You look at on and off line classifieds. You surf the web, sign up for information, and get some calls from reps that you can barely get a word in edge wise with.

You start to look harder and harder at all the different companies. The different compensation packages. You analyze each companies product line. You think some more, than finally you've made your decision. And there you have it, your now an affiliate of one of the best companies on the internet.

Now you log into your brand new back office, and start learning as much as you can about the company. Go through a few training videos, play around with a few marketing tools, then finally give your sponsor a call and introduce yourself, or maybe if your lucky he'll call you.

He gives you a list of things to start doing, and your off and running doing everything he recommends. The business cards, the sizzle cards, he tells you to write a list of 100 people you know, and should pitch your new business too. I'm willing to bet you even consider flyers.

None of that seems to be working like it's suppose to. Your friends are avoiding you, your family is no where to be found. You know your last resort is to buy some leads and push past your comfort zone, and call these supposed prospects. You rattle on never hearing the click of them hanging up. More money wasted.

There's only a handful of pit bulls left out their that actually still succeed in using these old school ways. They will work relentlessly to put the odds on their side. But for the rest of the home business net workers, failure using these methods is inevitable.

That was an all to familiar experience for me, and maybe you can say the same. But what happened for me was, I came across a complete marketing system while browsing an ezine one morning, and my business has grown full time. This can be put to use in any home business. Your networking will never be the same!
