Promoting Products using Pay per Click Advertising

By Jim Spence

There are many different people across the Internet who will tell you their secrets to efficiently using Google AdWords. Many/Most are not well informed as to the methods and rules that Google uses to administer their Pay Per Click AdWords Program.

Knowing how to collect appropriate Keywords, organize them, study traffic potential and then creating a campaign are the basis for a successful Google AdWords Campaign.

Once you have organized and the keywords into sub categories, it is time to write your ad.

Writing an ad is more of an Art than a Science and correctly formating the ad will make the difference between a click through rate of .004 and .04. For 1000 clicks the difference is .004 = 4 clicks and .04 = 40 clicks. That is 10 time more clicks!

Now your campaign is up and running and you have some clicks coming in, the secret to NOT WASTING MONEY is to use a system to efficiently adjust pay per click up or down depending on position.

Getting the discounted cost per click from Google is IMPORTANT to your campaign. IF you have a click through rate that is high enough, they will disount your cost. IF the click through rate is not good, they will offer you a rate that is ivery high per click.

Getting a good click through rate (CTR) is dependent on having ads that will attract clicks. You can optimize several ads by setting Google Adwords to display the several different ads evenly and then use the one(s) that have the best CTR.
