Why You Need An Article Writing Campaign

By Sharon Gantt

Every business needs some form of advertising or marketing to promote its product or service - or merely to establish a brand identity for the company. If you're an entrepreneur just starting out with a new venture, you know all too well how badly you need to get the word out about your wares in order to succeed as a business.

The only question is - how? If you're new to the world of online marketing, it can be confusing. It's not exactly apparent how it's done, is it? You can breathe a little easier. I'm going to tell you how to use an article writing campaign to build your new business into a success - or if yours is an established concern, how to use article writing to propel your business to the next level. More importantly, I'm going to tell you how it's done.

When you want to start promoting a business, product or service online, consider why people turn on their computers and fire up their web browsers in the first place. Most people who go online are looking for the same basic thing - information. How often have you yourself turned to the web to answer a question or to learn more about something, including products or services that you were considering a purchase of? You can provide others with information about your business in the same way. It's a great way to pre-sell your product or service, and also, make a name for yourself in the virtual world.

Knowing this puts you at a great advantage. All you need to do is give people what they're looking for on the web - information. This is called pre-selling, an extremely effective technique of turning casual visitors to your site into paying customers. Giving readers information has the added advantage of establishing you as an authority on a given topic, and they will be much more disposed to make a purchase of a product that you sell or endorse.

So how do you provide information to the public? Write articles about the subject you know best - your business. By giving readers interesting and informative content, you do something very important. You build yourself up in their minds as an expert on the topic. People are much more likely to buy a product from someone who is an authority in their field - it's basic psychology. Making yourself a trusted source of information means that you will get many more sales than would a competitor who neglects to do this.

At the bottom of each article, add a resource box featuring a brief bio and most importantly, a link to your site. If readers find your article helpful, they will likely visit your site and perhaps make a purchase. Having links to your site all over the web, and the traffic they will generate, will help your site earn a higher page ranking from the search engines. And, in online marketing, that's what it's all about.

All the best of luck to you in your article writing campaign!
